Meet SACC South Central's New Chairman

Mike Demster named to lead Swedish-American Chamber of Commerce for South Central Region

Mike Demster, Vice President, International Business Development with the Memphis Regional Chamber has been named Chairman for the Swedish-American Chamber of Commerce - South Central United States (SACC South Central). SACC South Central is headquartered in Madison, MS and its covers a five state region which includes Alabama, Arkansas, Tennessee, Louisiana and Mississippi. Each state has five representatives who serve on the Board.

Mike Demster, a native Memphian, received a BA from University of Tennessee, Knoxville and MPA from the University of Memphis. Prior to joining the Memphis Regional Chamber in 2003 to lead the Chamber’s bioscience business development initiative, Demster served in a variety of healthcare organizations.

Demster is a Diplomat in the American College of Healthcare Executives and has been recognized as an outstanding alumni from the University of Memphis College of Arts and Sciences. He currently serves on the Boards of the Tennessee Biotechnology Association and the Memphis World Trade Club.
