The Swedish company Moving Floor AB develops and markets equipment for livestock production. The "Moving Floor" concept is a system that has been developed to allow for completely automatic manure cleaning in pens and stables. The animals move on a rubber floor that automatically transports the manure to one side of the pen. At the other side of the pen, straw and other kinds of bedding can be spread automatically. The cleaning interval and speed which the floor moves can be controlled automatically or manually. The system provides good hygiene and allows for speedy removal of the manure from the barn. A clean and healthy environment for both workers and animals is provided. By avoiding slatted floors, a sifter lying surface is created and the animals hooves are spared.
Moving floors can be used for calves and cattle, pigs, pets, horses and poultry.
The Moving Floor is powered by either electricity or compressed air. Also the animal´s own weight can move the floor! The technology where the animals´weight is used to move the belt is unique and can be used for a lot ot other purposes. This technology has a patent protection. The whole system can also be powered by solar cells. The system is very economical to operate and is cost effective.
By connecting automatic straw dispensers, feeding mechanisms, weighing cells (that weigh the animals daily) and a very simple computer system, all handling of the animals can be done without a labor force creating considerable cost savings.
The Moving Floor concept is patented world wide.
The Swedish inventor and product owner is looking for a strategic partner, who can introduce the Moving Floor system throughout the United States. If you are interested, please contact our Swedish Liaison, Per-Erik Persson at pep@sacc-scus.org and you will be contacted.
